Nursing
RSI focuses on offering medical services to allow persons with disabilities to stay in their own home, apartment, or foster care setting. Without these services, some may be at risk for nursing home placement. RSI has a full accompaniment of medical services; including RNs, LPNs, PTAs, and COTAs. This allows RSI to accept persons with a more complicated medication regimen, medical equipment/supports, and routine medical procedures. Nurses come from varied backgrounds to ensure complete coverage for every clients' needs.
The medical team works to coordinate care and is used extensively to assess medical and psychiatric needs, teach both clients and staff, and act as a consultant and resource 24/7. The medical team provides direct services to clients, and is a part of the interdisciplinary team that provides care for the whole client, regardless of their disability. We encourage and facilitate communication between RSI, family, medical equipment vendors, and medical providers such as physicians, psychologists, dietitians, pharmacists, and therapists.
